The J.F. Burns Elementary PTO is dedicated to building a strong partnership between families and the school community. Our mission is to keep parents informed, involved, and connected by sharing important school news, upcoming events, and meaningful volunteer opportunities. PTO News
JFB Superhero Dance
Calling all superheroes! Join us on February 28th for our annual school dance! For students in K-2, come dance with us from 4-5:30 pm. 3rd and 4th grade students can come between
6:30-8 pm. A parent/guardian must attend with their student. Pizza and other concessions will be available to purchase.

Author Scheduled to Visit
J.F. Burns - March 24th
The JFB PTO, together with KME and SLE, will be bringing author Joanna Ho to all Kings elementary schools in March. Joanna Ho is the New York Times-bestselling and award-winning author of many books for kids including picture books Eyes that Kiss in the Corners, Say My Name, and We Who Produce Pearls. We are excited to have her share her journey as an author with our JFB students!

PTO Enrichment Gifts
Through the success of the Fun Run this Fall, we were able to share a little PTO love with staff members through a PTO Enrichment Gift! This was put up for a vote during our November meeting, the emails were sent to staff after our January meeting, and Amazon packages have been getting delivered all week! Staff members are able to choose items that support student learning and can be used for things like student supplies, learning materials, enrichment activities, or any creative ideas that help make their role engaging and welcoming for students. Some of the items we've been seeing are new books, indoor recess activities, math manipulatives, and so much more!
Kroger Rewards
The Kroger Family of Companies is committed to community engagement, positive social impact and charitable giving at the national and local levels. This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Card.

1) Family Connections: Added support and shadowing this year with the opportunity to take over for 2026-2027 school year
2) Burns Business Boosters: Shadow this year and step into the role for 2026-2027 school year.
3) Staff Appreciation: Shadow this year and take over for 2026-2027 school year
4) Corresponding Secretary: Shadow this year and take over for 2026-2027 school year
5) Membership: Shadow and take over for the 2026-2027 school year.
